ABOUT THE JOB

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional Medior Financial Accountant Corporate Services. You will deliver accounting services and advice to a broad range of clients. Within this company there is a variety of opportunities to grow within the organization, both within the Netherlands office or one of the many international branches.

You will perform sector specific accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and disclosures. You will also be ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting standards and you are producing client customized interim reports, Investor reporting and Waterfall calculations for the clients. Finally, you will provide assistance on complex client transactions (capital calls, distributions, sale & purchase of assets, complex loans, etc) and manages the booking in the accounting system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compile, review Financial Statements and file them with Dutch Trade Register;
  • Prepare/set up monthly payroll journals per cost centre, as specified by the client and coordination of payroll related payments;
  • BFI reporting with Dutch Central Bank;
  • Review bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, movements in investment property, lease incentives, intangibles, service charges reconciliations according to Dutch GAAP but also US GAAP principle) and additional bookkeeping tasks (debtors, creditors, bank, payroll journals, accruals etc.);
  • Review the distributions and capital contribution requests;
  • Review the cash flow statements;
  • Review (and preparation) of Client specific monthly reporting and reconciliation of balance sheet items and accounts;
  • Prepare and coordinate CIT & VAT returns;
  • Prepare audit file and provide assistance with statutory audits;
  • Follow up, and provide coordination on client specific accounting requests;
  • Contact different stakeholders (relationship manager, clients) on internal matters;
  • Regulatory transaction monitoring.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, Dutch is preferred;
    Expert level of Dutch GAAP, knowledge of IFRS is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
  • You are pro-active, focused on quality, persuasive and you have great advisory skills;
  • Friendly and outgoing team player with strong analytical skills;
  • If in addition you have knowledge of Milogic and Infine software, you would be perfect for the role (bonus, not required);
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience (audit or accounting);
  • Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (e.g.. Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration).
