They are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Services Accountant to support their Private Equity clients’ portfolio, with a minimum commitment of 32 hours per week.

ABOUT THE JOB

You’ll be responsible for providing accounting services and advisory support tailored to Private Equity firms. This dedicated Accounting Team, comprising a manager and 9 accountants, specializes in addressing the unique needs of this sector.

Collaborating with your team members, you’ll deliver top-notch service to your client portfolio, ensuring the integrity of accounting records, crafting customized interim reports, navigating complex client transactions, and coordinating VAT and CIT calculations alongside the Tax Advisor. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll operate with autonomy, readily taking the lead or participating in projects, and serving as a valuable resource for colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare the Financial Statements;
  • Review the bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, movements in investment property, lease incentives, intangibles, service charges reconciliations according to Dutch GAAP but also US GAAP principle);
  • Review the distributions and capital contribution requests;
  • Review the cash flow statements;
  • Review and prepare the Client specific monthly reporting;
  • Prepare and coordinate CIT & VAT returns;
  • Prepare the audit file and assist with statutory audits;
  • Follow-up and coordinate on client specific accounting requests;
  • Manage the relationship contact on internal matters.
  • Maintain contact with shareholders, clients, banks, accountants and other external and relevant parties;
  • Ensure delivery of other services as required together with the other teams (e.g. Bank Account openings, Tax registrations etc.);
  • Work in partnership with Global Service Center [GSC] colleagues to ensure end to end delivery for the client and support and coach them as needed.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 – 7 years of experience (audit or accounting);
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing / coaching a small (junior) finance team;
  • Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (e.g.. Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration).
