What you'll be doing
To replace one of the current Group Controllers and to continue the further professionalization of the Finance function, the company is looking for an experienced Group Controller. You have proven international experience in accounting, reporting, and control. You will be part of the Group Control department (5 colleagues) and will focus on consolidation, reporting, and further professionalization of the Finance organization. This is a key role in which you can contribute your (new) insights.
In this role, you are an important support to the Head of Group Control and the CFO. With your active, hands-on approach, you ensure the role is performed with a high level of quality and accuracy.
📊 You play an important role in the consolidation of periodic financial figures for the global organization, ensuring that all reports are accurate, complete, and processed on time in the consolidation system (OneStream).
📑 You play a key role in preparing both internal and external periodic reports for management and external stakeholders, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
🧠 You are an expert in accounting matters and act as a point of reference for the financial organization.
⚙️ You initiate improvements in the closing process and contribute to further automation, enhancements in OneStream, and related reporting.
🔍Together with your colleagues, you analyze financial data, identify irregularities or data‑quality issues, and ensure actions are taken to maintain and improve data integrity.
📈You are closely involved in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing technical support and assessing the quality of financial data.
🤝You help organize and guide group‑wide financial improvement initiatives (including budget, internal control, CAPEX, tax accounting, etc.), ensuring stakeholders are motivated to contribute.
🚀You are given the freedom to take initiative, realize improvements, and implement them across the organization.
Could this be you?
🎓 You have completed a higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) degree in a financial field, preferably supplemented with an RA or RC qualification.
🌍 You have at least 3 years of relevant experience at an international holding company, with proven experience in professionalizing financial reporting and consolidation;
or
🧾 You have at least 5 years of experience at an audit firm (preferably Big 4), with proven experience in complex accounting issues.
📊 You have strong financial knowledge in consolidation, reporting, and control.
📘 Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
💻 You have an affinity with ICT and consolidation software, preferably OneStream.
🗣️ You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; as this is an international role, a strong command of English is essential.
⏱️ You can prioritize effectively, understand the importance of deadlines, and consistently deliver high‑quality, accurate work.
